Please allow me to indroduce myself…
My name is Tiffany “Durga” Abbas, and I stand upon the shoulders of my ancestors in service of today and tomorrow’s children. My grandmothers come from the lands of Lebanon, Ireland, and the Choctaw Nation of Turtle Island. Currently, my family and I are blessed to live upon Cahuilla land in so-called Southern California. We strive to work closely with our Cahuilla Relatives to live in that Good Way.
I’m a misfit… I don’t often feel a sense of belonging… and so the heart of my offerings is to co-create that space with those I practice alongside.
My greatest moments of healing are usually accompanied by music or art, and so these elements are incorporated into the practices I offer. You’ll find that i’m greatly inspired by, and find much solace in, the music of Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. You’re welcome to bring the sounds that offer you a sense of embrace.
Global Liberation, honoring Earth Mother, and connection to Creator/Self is the heartbeat and breath of my life and mission… but, before we can feel that connection to Earth and others, we have to mend the connection to our deepest Selves.
I honor the light and shadow in each of us, and am truly grateful to practice with you!
